Guild Sew Days
Spend a fun day sewing alongside fellow quilters and tackling your latest projects. Our Sew Days run on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering both in-person and virtual options throughout the year.
From September to December, and April to June, come stitch with us in person! No registration is required—just bring your machine and projects.
Virtual meetings are held in January, February and March. Contact sewdays@commonthreadquiltguild.ca to register and receive the Zoom details to join on-line.

Sew Day Information
- There is no need to sign up ahead of time for In-Person Sew days.
-
- $10 for members and $12 for non-members, cash-only please (exact change would be appreciated)
-
- Sew Days are no-frills – participants set up their own sewing space, help with common set up, and bring their own lunch and snacks.
- Ironing boards and irons are available on site – we’ll be looking for a hand to bring them up from the basement
- There is a kitchen including, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, fridge and stove – we’ll provide the space, coffee and tea, and fellow quilters
- AccuQuilt Go! and one AccuQuilt Go Me! fabric cutters and dies are available to Guild members during In-Person Sew Days and Retreats.
- Members are free to drop by and cut their fabric during these times and are not obliged to pay for the Sew Day or Retreat if they stay for only a short time and only for the use of the Accuquilt. For example, one is free to drop by with pre-ironed fabric and use the Accuquilt for a short time.
- If your cutting time is preventing paying participants from ready access to the AccuQuilt, or if you plan to use the iron for other than a quick touch-up, then perhaps paying for the day is warranted.
- Plan ahead to cut out a quilt or just some blocks or appliques at the next Sew Day or retreat. Check out the complete list of dies as well as handy tips for using the cutter at https://
commonthreadquiltguild.ca/ resources/accuquilt-fabric- cutter/.
Please remember that participants are also expected to help with packing up and putting away common areas (ironing, cutting, and Accuquilt tables) which will start at 4:00 pm. If you have to leave early, please ask someone to cover pack-up for you.
