What is Sashiko?

Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery style which dates back to the Edo period (1615-1868).  It was mostly used by the working class farming and fishing families as to make stronger more practical workwear.

Come join Kirstin Fearon as she teaches us how to prepare cloth for stitching, the proper hand posture for Sashiko stitching. We will have lots of time to practice. She will provide all materials in a kit (pricing is TBD)
